Mahnoor Ali’s Rising Fame and Journey?
Is stellar performance in Kuala Lumpur is not the only achievement for this young athlete from Peshawar. The ongoing ‘Milo All-Star Junior Squash Championship’ holds the distinction
of being the world’s first ‘Diamond Category’ junior open, featuring top-ranked junior players from across Asia. Earlier this year, Mahnoor secured two gold medals in international competitions.
She won the Under-15 title at the ‘WSF Czech Junior Open,’ and subsequently claimed the title at the ‘SRAFTKL International Junior Open’—also held in Kuala Lumpur—by defeating the local favorite, Maisara Khairulnizam, in a thrilling final.
She is one of the renowned ‘Ali Sisters’—Mahnoor, Sehrish, and Maliha—who are considered the future of Pakistani squash. Her success is being viewed as a revival of Pakistan’s golden squash legacy, an era once dominated by legends like Jahangir Khan and Jansher Khan.
By reaching the final, Mahnoor has once again demonstrated that Pakistan’s junior talent is poised to reclaim its lost standing on the global stage.

Mahnoor Ali Struggling
As Mahnoor Ali left the glass box after her qualifying win, she didn’t celebrate wildly. She smiled, shook hands, and walked off like she’d been there before. That’s the part that stood out most. She looked like she planned to be there for a long time.
Mahnoor played like she belonged there. She didn’t shrink under pressure; she sharpened under it. Her shot selection is fearless. For a 13-year-old, that’s not just talent. It’s temperament.
